Md. Habibur Rahman (born 31 January 1945) is a Bangladeshi politician and Member of Parliament for Bogra-5 Constituency. He was elected as a Member of Parliament as a candidate of Bangladesh Awami League in 2014.
Birth and education
Md. Habibur Rahman's ancestral home is in Jalshuka village of Dhunot upazila of Bogra district. Father's name is Mozahar Ali Akand. Habibur Rahman passed SSC in 1960 from Dhunat High School. In 1962 he passed HSC from Bogra Government Azizul Haque College. After that, he was admitted to Rajshahi University Department of Economics for higher education. He was known as a good sportsman during his university life. He received Blue from the university. After completing his studies, he joined the police service.
Working Life
Agriculture-based businessman and retired police officer by profession. Habibur Rahman is actively involved in politics. He has been elected Member of Parliament for the third consecutive time.
